You can pick up a bed bug literally almost anywhere, i.e. offices, stores, hotels. They can latch on to luggage, purses, clothing and even you. But once you have them they are hard to get rid of. So the best way to take care of the problem is to catch the problem early.
How to get rid of them
Heat- using a dryer or placing your infested belongings in garbage bags and placing them outside will indeed kill the bed bugs.
Cold- placing your infested items into the freezer set at 0*. However, this process does require you to leave them there for up to 4 days.
Although these are great non-chemical options to getting rid of your bed bug infestation, they will not get rid of the problem entirely.
