Silverfish

Silverfish, or Fish Moth, are silvery nocturnal insects found in moisture rich areas and consume mold, starches and carbohydrates. They are not harmful to humans, but they do cause damage to items rich in starch such as adhesives, old papers, photographs and general things one might store in the open. They are about an inch long, cream to silver in color and have movements similar to that of a fish. Silverfish are most often found in attics or basements and other cold, damp, and dark areas.
