Beavers

The North American Beaver is the largest rodent in America. They can be found in the wetlands of Ohio, building dams, canals, and lodges. Usually dark brown in color, beavers are equipped with webbed feet and a flat tail, which not only aids in swimming, but is also used to signal danger by slapping the surface of the water. Beavers are mostly active at night, chewing trees and creating dams which impede the flow of creeks and rivers.
